Studio Ghibli Fest is on again this year in the U.S., as last year’s event proved super popular with American audiences. And of course it did. Who could possibly have enough of the brilliant works of Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata, and the great animation engine they created together?
We at The Dot and Line certainly can’t—just like we can’t get enough of the food in Ghibli movies. Which is why we asked Kristin Lagman, whose YouTube channel features an A to Z Ghibli Food series, to share one of her favorite recipes from a Ghibli film—in this case, the herring and pumpkin pie from Kiki’s Delivery Service—with us.
The video is below, and the ingredients are listed below that. Give it a whirl, let us know how your efforts went, and tip us off to what other animated meals you might like to see replicated in the comments. Happy baking!
