Before we tell 2017 — the year that murdered Net Neutrality and (very!) nearly saw an accused child molester elected to public office — to die in a fire, it’s important to remember that A Good Thing happened this year too. I speak, of course, of “Pickle Rick,” the episode of Rick and Morty in which one half of the eponymous duo turns into a literal pickle, engages in stunningly animated action sequences that rival the creativity of a John Wick movie, and finally reverts back to a human after being forced to confront his own failures in therapy. It was great, really unexpected, and gave us this GIF:
