You’ll Never Guess What BoJack Horseman Had to Say About His New Show

Horseman Roars Himself Hoarse in Coarse Discourse, Gores ‘Philbert’ With Force

Welcome to What Horse Is He Right Now Dot Com, a collection of stories by The Dot and Line about BoJack Horseman Season 5. Spoilers for Season 5 follow.

Don’t say we didn’t warn you! In audio leaked from the set of Philbert, obtained exclusively by The Dot and Line, lead actor BoJack Horseman’s unhinged screams in-between takes appear to make it abundantly clear that he agrees with our review, which argued—while acknowledging Horseman’s work as commendable, if less than transformative—that even his turn as “the eponymous dead-eyed, uxoricidal detective can’t save this tired, misogynistic True Detective knockoff from itself.”

But if you don’t believe us, take it from the horse himself:

For those of you who don’t feel like listening to Horseman himself, here’s the takeaway:

The whole show is dumb. It’s confusing, it’s overwritten, and it’s poorly lit. And worst of all, it’s boring. It has nothing to say. And it says that nothing badly.

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. Except for when we did.
