I don’t have time to write about how the world sucks and how our government is broken and how things are bad right now. What I do have time to do is recommend this brief, amazing animated series about fucking wolves called Wolf’s fucking Rain. It’s got all these fun callbacks to Cowboy Bebop (violence, a jazzy soundtrack by Yoko Kanno, meditations on pain and memory abound), it’s about a rag-tag group of raggedy wolves who are searching for Paradise, and it’s beautifully animated. It’s plenty complex, but — like I said — nobody has time to get into that.
If you don’t believe me just watch this GIF from the show of one of its main characters, Kiba, running. It’s mesmerizing, and this is also basically everything you need to know before snagging the Blu-Ray or streaming it somewhere. Happy hunting.
