Murder, sex, and intrigue. Come on, what’s not to love here? How to Get Away With Murder’s main character, Annalise Keating, is a total badass, but she throws herself so deeply into her work as a lawyer and criminal law professor that she has a hard time toeing the line between her personal life and the web of lies she must navigate within her professional life — something that’s quite evident from the beginning, when her students have to cover up a murder of their own. There are no Crystal Gems or ambiguously mouse-like Looney Tunes-esque creatures that provide striking political commentary to speak of, but WATCH IT, JOHN, GODDAMMIT.
This has been “Goddammit” — a series of arguments in brief by Sammy Nickalls — and part of #JohnWithTheWind.
